All of our courses are interactive and utilise a variety of teaching methods including practical demonstrations and simulated procedures ,small workshops, seizure video footage, power point, question and answer sessions and discussion.

Our aims are:

• Students will gain understanding of and confidence in the management of different seizure types
• To enable students to develop a greater understanding of risk assessment, and assimilate this information to their individual client groups
• Students will be able to recognise the emergency situation and act as appropriate Students will appreciate the importance of accurate seizure recording and be given an explained format so that seizure descriptions will be of clinical relevance and thus promote an accurate classification of seizures and their appropriate treatment
• Training will facilitate best practice guidelines and ensure that all will have the practical skills and knowledge to provide a safe, effective environment for people with epilepsy
